Announcing the Good News
When will classes be held?
We are still working on ironing out the details of our 2022-23 Calendar. We antcipate that details will be available by Mid June when hard copy registration forms will be mailed to families who have previously been registered in our program. If your children will be new to out religious education program please feel free to reach out to our Religious Education Director Mrs. Sweeney at 978-632-0253 or religioused@annunciationgardner.org to introduce yourself, ask any questions and be added to our mailing list.
Will there be a remote or hybrid option?
As of right now, we do not plan to offer online classes this year. This past year showed us is that Religious Ed is most effective when it happens within the context of a community, whether that is in a class or within the family. If a family with children in grades 1-6 has serious concerns they may choose to do home study. Parents of older children are encouraged to contact the DRE to discuss what accomodations might be made to help your child keep on track.
What about Corona Virus?
All students regardless of their vaccination status are welcome in our program. Throughout this past year we followed the same protocols as the local public schools and we antcipate doing so again. We were blessed to have no transmissions traced to our classes.
All students are welcome to mask based on their comfort level. If schools require masking we will as well.
If your child or another family member has been identified as a close contact and has not tested negative please keep your chid home that week. (Unlike public schools we do not have the ablity to do rapid tests to verify that a child does not have covid. ) If your children are at all sick please keep them home and contact us so we can tell you which lesson they should make up at home. If you find out shortly after a class that your child has Covid please notify us as soon as possible so we can check with the board of health as to whether or not other families need to be notified.
Working together with caution we should be able to continue to meet safely as we did this past year.
Cost
We ask that parents do their best to make a donation of $40 per student or $100 per family, however we know that many families are struggling financially at this time and no one will be turned away if they cannot make a donation towards their child's religious education! Please do not hesitate to register your child even if you are unable to make a donation this year.
How Do I Register?
Follow the Registration link here and it will take you to the online registration form. You may also download a hard copy from that page if you prefer or contact the religious ed office to have a copy mailed to you.
